BlueChew Review: Does BlueChew Work? (2023)

Men can lose their sexual performance as they age.

According to a national study, older men aged 50 to 59 are three times more likely to have erection problems and decreased libido than men aged 18 to 29.1

Treatments like Sildenafil, Vardenafil, and Tadalafil can help with erectile dysfunction.

But if you’re too embarrassed to see a doctor, or want a private and convenient way to treat ED, you can count on BlueChew.

For this BlueChew review, I consulted our medical reviewer Dr. Rizza Mira on men’s reproductive health. I also asked her if BlueChew could help.

What Is Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence is a condition that commonly affects older men. It is estimated that 52% of men aged 40 to 70 suffer from mild to moderate symptoms.2

Signs you may have an erectile disorder include:

  • Being unable to get an erection that is firm enough
  • Dificulty maintaining an erection that lasts long enough

“For some men, having problems in erection from time-to-time is not a cause of concern. But progressive and persistent erection problems should be managed,” says Dr. Mira.

Do You Need ED Medication?

Erectile dysfunction can decrease a man’s self-esteem and sexual satisfaction, and cause them to avoid sex. This sometimes leads to anxiety and depression in men.2

Without treatment, ED symptoms can also make sex less satisfying for couples. It can have negative effects on their relationship and quality of life.2

“ED can be caused by emotional stress, atherosclerosis or narrowing of the arteries, high blood pressure, and diabetes mellitus, among others,” says Dr. Mira.

Treating ED isn’t necessary but it can improve your quality of life. It can help you regain your confidence and lead to a satisfying sex life.

Here are signs that you may need ED treatment:

  • Reduced sex drive
  • Soft or weak erection
  • Trouble getting an erection
  • Difficulty maintaining an erection

Doctors usually prescribe oral phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors for ED. PDE5 inhibitors like BlueChew are considered the first line of treatment for erectile dysfunction.1

“Sildenafil, Verdenafil, and Tadalfil are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of erectile problems,” Dr. Mira adds.

The subscription service is for men who like the privacy and convenience it has to offer. With BlueChew, there’s no need for an in-person doctor visit or a trip to the pharmacy.

Does BlueChew Work?

It depends. BlueChew may be effective for erectile dysfunction. This means it can help with getting and maintaining an erection firm enough for sex. But it might not work for everyone.

BlueChew tablets contain PDE5 inhibitors and the exact same active ingredients as Viagra®, Levitra®, and Cialis®. Namely, these are Sildenafil, Vardenafil, and Tadalafil.

PDE5 inhibitors stop the effects of phosphodiesterase-5. It allows blood to rush to the penis when a man is aroused or sexually excited.

Sildenafil may be effective in up to 76% of patients who take it. Trials on Tadalafil show it can work in up to 47% of men. Vardenafil may be just as effective as Tadalafil.2

“It’s important to remember that a successful erection requires adequate sexual arousal. Thus, medications may not provide therapeutic effects if you’re not sexually aroused,” says Dr. Mira

Dr. Mira also provides medical advice for men who don’t respond to BlueChew:

“If BlueChew doesn’t seem to work for you, it’s best to seek professional consultation so that the root cause of erectile dysfunction can be addressed.”

Is BlueChew Safe?

Yes. But it depends on your health.

There are many factors that can affect BlueChew’s safety. It’s best that you talk to a doctor to ensure you’re healthy enough to have sex and take BlueChew’s tablets.

If you have a prescription, it’s important that you follow your doctor’s recommendations. Some side effects are normal and expected.

Dr. Mira says you may experience headaches, an upset stomach, hot flashes, nasal congestion, changes in vision, and body aches and pains.

However, you’ll need to watch out for these signs as they are not normal:

  • An erection that lasts more than 4 hours
  • Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes
  • Hearing loss or reduced hearing
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Dizziness, chest pains, or nausea during sex

BlueChew may not be safe for men with a deformed penis, abnormal blood pressure, blood disorders, certain eye conditions, and problems with their kidneys, liver, or heart.4

“Men who have underlying medical conditions like diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease must also consult first with their physician,” says Dr. Mira.

Men who are allergic to BlueChew’s ingredients and men who take certain medications shouldn’t take their chewable ED medications without consulting a doctor.4

Is BlueChew FDA Approved?

No. The chewable form of BlueChew still needs approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, it contains ingredients that have FDA approval for treating erectile dysfunction.

BlueChew Reviews: BlueChew vs. Other ED Treatments

Here are 3 reasons why Bluechew may be a more attractive erectile dysfunction treatment than its competitors — Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis:

1. Sweet chewable tablets with fast results

A national survey shows that 40% of Americans have a hard time swallowing pills.5 People who struggle with this problem usually have a history of choking on medications.6

BlueChew may help get rid of this problem.

These erectile dysfunction medications come in chewable tablets so there’s no need to swallow them. They also have a sweet flavor, which makes them much more tolerable.

Their chewable form also means they’re more easily absorbed in the mouth, and can lead to fast-acting effects.

2. Convenient way to treat erectile dysfunction

Bluechew’s service lets you to order ED pills at the comfort of your home. You don’t have to go to a doctor or pharmacy because it offers online consultations, prescriptions, and delivery.

Viagra®, Levitra®, and Cialis® are prescription medication that require you to see a doctor. It makes the whole process of buying them tiresome and time-consuming.

3. Provides private and discreet ED treatments

There's a lot of stigma on erectile dysfunction and the use of ED medications.

Since BlueChews can be ordered online, you don’t have to deal with the embarrassment of seeing a doctor, going through tests, and lining up at pharmacies to pick up your meds.

They can supply your ED medications via mail in discreet packaging.

How To Get A BlueChew Prescription

First, you need to sign up with and create an account. After a quick registration, you need to complete a 20-question form about your health and medical history.

Some states may require a video consultation before proceeding.

BlueChew affiliated doctors will review your answers, which can take 1 to 2 days. You don't need to pay for the review process. Consultations are free.

Once approved, you will receive an online prescription that allows you to subscribe to a plan. After selecting a plan, you need to fill in your billing details.

BlueChew will deliver your ED medications in discreet packaging, so other people won’t know what’s inside.
